Long Time No See!

Wow!! I haven't been on here forever! I made DHs blanket finally! I changed the square a bit, if you remember, I made a square up just for him and posted the pattern on here, Irish Pride Square. Well, to that, I added another few rows to make a 10" square instead of 8", just so I didn't have to make so many squares, I really don't like that part too much. Then when it was all put together, I added the border the same as each square, I think it turned out pretty nice.

Other stuff I've made. I made up a Robotnik!

to go with Sonic.

When I asked the twins waht they wanted, one said Sonic and the other said Robotnik, so here they are. Then I made a Gary,

or Bary as my youngest would call him, lol. And I JUST finished up a Squidward!
I LOVE this one! Patterns for Sonic and Gary are available at my Etsy shop, and patterns for Robotnik and Squidward will be available soon.

And lastly, it was my babies third bday on the third of April. He loves Spongebob, is literally obsessed with him, and also pirates, so his Nana bought him a pirate hook for his bday. Well, with the 3 of them fighting over who gets to play with it, it broke, so guess what I did?!?! I made him another one!! I was about to make one for the other 2, but I guess the novelty wore off, cuz they don't want it, but Ethan sure likes it!
Especially in his pirate jammies!

Pattern for this will be available soon for free right here! Gimme about a week and I'll post it.

ETSY

My babies had their first day of school yesterday. A full day too, when Quenton was little, he only went 1/2 days, every day, but the twins go full days, every other day. I guess its better this way. My house was too quiet and Ethan just didn't know what to do with himself. When the boys came home, they told me they had fun and had lots of stories to tell, but they don't want to go back! lol. Oh well, maybe it gets easier. As long as theres no fight, its fine.

As for crocheting, I made this beautiful little capelet. I found the pattern on Etsy and its well worth the $5.00. It was so easy and I had it made within a couple of hours.

Speaking of Etsy....I finally opened my own shop!! Yay!! I have posted my patterns for Natalie the Ballerina and my Rocketship Water Bottle Holder for sale there for anyone interested.
And if you're going to check out Etsy, check out my favourites there. Theres so many talented people on there and tons of beautiful patterns. I almost feel like mine don't even fit in!
Thats it for now, I'm not too great a blogger, but I've been busy! And I will get better, I promise. In the meantime, come visit my shop!

ITS BAAAAACK!!

OK, so I totally disappeared for a while there, but I have been soooo busy. The twins had their 4th bday and went for their kindergarten orientation today. My 11 yo started 6th grade today (OMG!!! Hes 11?!?! and in Gr. 6!!!!!) We've had lots of fun over the summer holidays, but I'm glad that we're back to school. Don't ask me that in a couple of weeks when the twins start full time. I know its every other day, but still! What do I do with only ONE baby at home?!? lol, I'm sure I'll figure something out.

I finished these cute little patterns up too.

This one is Natalie the Ballerina. She was made for my brothers gf Natalie. Nat has a tatt on her back of a ballerina and her bday was coming up, so I thought I'd try to make her a matching ballerina for her tatt. She absolutely LOVES dancing. Well, it was a HUGE hit. She loved it! Here's a pic of Natalie (the crocheted version)

I added wire to her limbs, so shes pose able too.

I also made this for my boys. You can never find stuff for little boys. Well, ya, you can, but not too much. They love these though. They love Buzz Lightyear and watch it all the time, so what better than Rocket Water Bottle Holders? They start school soon and can carry their drinks in here. I thought they would be great!

One more pic. the last time I posted (before the free pattern) I was working on crowns. I finished them a long time ago. Here they are. I love this pattern too. Its just too cute.

Well, thats it for now. My patterns for Natalie and the Water Bottle Holder are being tested as we speak, so I'll let you know when they are available!

$170.00?!?!?!!

OK, so I finally sent my sewing machine in to get fixed. I told you how I jammed it while sewing the eyelash yarn legs to my jellyfish. Well, I got a call earlier this week that it will cost $170.00 to repair!!! OMG!! I was in shock. Unfortunately I had to tell him that I would just pick it up as that's just a little to steep a price right now. :( No sewing for me for a while. Unless its by hand of course and No Thanks You! lol. Well, I got some little projects done this week. Not much really. I made a tiny little lady bug purse for a baby (not for her to use, just for fun cuz it was cute!) It was a request actually, but it needed something with it, so I made this little outfit too. I think its cute all together.

Well, we all had a great Canada Day. The boys loved the fireworks and when they hear a bang on the street they all yell fireworks, except the baby, who calls them "rainbows" lol, hes so cute! Here's a pic I took that I thought looked so cool.

WIP WEDNESDAY

WIP for this week are still my NFLD Flag Lapghan. I didn't get too much of it done this week. Not a good thing. I'm gonna be working on it like crazy this week.

I also started the Sunny Days Dress from Crochet World June 2008. I have never been a big fan of Crochet World. I'll get it sometimes, but its usually just because I like 1 thing, but this issue had a couple things I like and plan to make.

I have a couple of FOs for this week too. I finished a Cupcake Cradle Purse for Abby (the dress above is also for her) These will be her Big Sister presents when baby Jacob arrives very soon. The Noah's Ark Blanket is for him.

I also finished a couple of football squares for a lady on Crochetville. I need to send those out tomorrow. I also got some swap stuff done, but of course I can't put pics of that up yet! :)

Ethans doing great today. I was worried he would be pulling at his forehead, but he hasn't bothered at all a little cranky, but otherwise fine. And Quenton can straighten his arm more and more every day. He starts football next week and I know hes not supposed to play stuff till the end of the month at least, but I hafta find out soon if he can play it at all for the rest of the summer. If he can't I'll hafta get my $$ back. He'll be upset, but we'll find something less contact that he can do. I'll be upset too, I've never been a big football fan, but last yr was his first year and I LOVED it! It was way more exciting than his soccer was. No offence to all the soccer fans out there. The game itself was good, just watching Quenton do nothing on the field was boring, lol.

Lastly, I did go shopping for fabric!! I did it a couple of days ago, but never really had a chance to post it. Well, here's what I got. Its just a start, but a pretty good one I think. I have projects in mind for all of it. I hope I can do this!! lol.

Let me know what you have in your WIPs this week.

IF IT AIN'T ONE THING, ITS ANOTHER!!

I just got home, bathed, had a hot tea and now I'm here. Last week, Quenton, my oldest, broke his arm. Its not a really bad break, doesn't even need a cast, but he needs to stretch it and bend it for it to heal, otherwise he will never be able to straighten it out again! This isn't as bad as when he broke his other arm last year and needed surgery to put pins in, but its still a break. So we finally finished up all of his Dr appts yesterday. Yeah! right? WRONG!! Today, the baby was running around and down he goes, right into the corner of a drawer! There was a hole in the middle of his forehead. So 3 1/2 hours after waiting in the ER, he came home with 2 stitches. He was absolutely furious with me. 2 nurses held him down while the Dr stitched him up the whole time hes screaming "Mama!!" And not a pain or help Mama, but a very mad Mama. Poor baby. When they were done I went to pick him up and he starts yelling at me "All done, all done!" with a furious look on his face, then he starts hitting me, finally bit me, then put his head on my shoulder and off we went. lol. I completely understand. No hard feelings. Poor little guy. We have to get the stitches out on Monday. That will be another fun day I'm sure! Well, off to bed I go.

Amazing!!!

It was my Moms 50th birthday yesterday and my Dad got her the most beautiful bouquet of flowers I have ever seen! Here's the whole bouquet. It was an exotic bouquet.

But most amazing in this bouquet is the rose. I have never seen a flower like this in my life!!! I have no idea how they did this, and I swear to you it was NOT painted on! It is just beautiful!

Not only is it pretty, but it was massive! I mean HUGE!

Anyways, that's all I got for today! lol

WHERE'D YOU GO?

OK, so I disappeared for a while, but I swear I've been working hard! haha. I have lots of projects done, but I won't post all the pics. Theres just too many! I'll show you one of my WIPs that I finished off. Its the Hearts baby Blanket. I love this blanket, but lots of ends to weave in. But at least the pattern calls for it to be crocheted together as you go, which I LOVE. Here it is.

Another pic I'll show you is of these little Cowboy boots and hat I made for a baby girl. I thought they were so adorable.

Here's the Cowboy Booties

And here's the Cowboy Hat.

I used a smaller hook to make the hat really tiny for a newborn. I know she won't get much use out of them, but aren't they adorable?!?!

And I wanted to show you another pic. It was my brothers bday and I made him the perfect cake! He won't let me put pics of him eating it up, lol, but I can at least show the cake. Now this is NOT meant to offend anyone. It was just a humorous cake that I made. I hope you all get a laugh out of it.

Look, I figured out how yo hyperlink!!! yay!
Also, I am going to start doing some stuff, like every Wednesday I will take pics of my WIPS and post for WIP Wednesday. Maybe you can send along some of yours too. And then I thought on Fridays could be Favourites Fridays, where I'll show you something I really like that week. Just some ideas. And I'll start tomorrow.Well, see you then!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!

Well, I did get my Mothers Day stuff done for my mom and MIL. (I'll see my bff next weekend, so I'll post hers then). Heres what I made them. I still want to add more, maybe I'll add little things before I see them. The baskets look empty to me. They each got a gift certificate too though.

This ones my Moms

This is for my MIL

Another thing I did today was make some chair booties! A couple of weeks ago, Quenton got out of the chair and somehow ground something into the floor to cause this!!

DH was furious! He said to me"You make stuff all the time! Can't you make something for these chairs?" We did have those felty things on them but they apparantly didn't work too well, so I made these. I think they're kinda cute. I made them from yarn that I have no plans for, so it won't be missed.

You can see another little(but long) scratch here too.

Well, I don't know if Ill be able to get on here tomorrow so I'll wish you all a Happy Mothers Day!!!! Oh and I've been thinking of some fun things can do on this blog, I've been reading lots of blogs lately and I love them, just wish I was as creative as some of you guys! But I'm thinking.......
