Tack the 2 middle fingers down to look like Spiderman shooting a web.

***NOTE: To make the scarf longer is easy. Just think of it right now as in 4 parts of 35 rows each. If you want it longer add the same number of rows to each section. So, if you add 5 extra rows to the first section, add 5 more to each section after as well. Watch your gauge and do your math to figure out the length of scarf you want.

Spongy Set Ready

OK, I lied, the Spongy Set is now available for sale in my Etsy shop. Please stop in for a look! Maybe some inspiration? Hey, who doesn't need a last minute xmas gift that you want to make yourself! Available in all sizes from tiny to x-large!

Speaking of xmas, I found this for advent calendars. Now, I love these and my Mom gave me a super adorable one a few years ago when I only had 1 boy(that very quickly turned into 4 when I had the twins and the baby 19 months later!!!) Anyways, now its not big enough for all 4 AND the younger ones really want to do this now too. And I don't want a bunch of $$store stuff everywhere. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the $$ store, just not their toys. They're crap!, Soooooo....I found this and its such a great idea. Those moms with multiple children, scratch that, even if you have ONE kid, this would be great! Check it out!!!

OH!!! Also, for all you knit and crochet freaks (LIKE ME!!) out there. I saw this link on a forum I belong to. Looks like fun!!

Bah Humbug!

Teehee! I made Scrooge! Isn't he a grumpy old cutie!

I even gave him a big old nose!

Also, the Race Car Set is now available at my Etsy shop! And the Spongy Set will be too in a couple of days.

No Bah Humbug from me, I love Christmas!

New Scarf Sets coming.....

I've been working on some scarf sets. They are being tested right now. I've made a Race Car Set....

And A Spongy Set....

I've also been working on a Spiderman Set, well, not set, just the scarf. Now, I love my concept for this one, but I think I'll just skip the webs, it looks wayyyyyyy too busy for my liking. What do you think? Maybe I'll finish this one with the webs sewn in and make another one just plain red and blue, then you can have the option of sewing the webs on if you like, but I think just plain would be ok too, no?

Irish Pride Square

I really suck at keeping up with posts. Sorry.

DH wanted me to make him an afghan, which is really cool cuz he never really shows too much interest. Ya, he does the Oh thats nice and fake interest stuff, but thats about it. I made him mittens last year...the ones that the top pulls back, so your fingers can be in or out. You know what I mean, I'll find the link later. Fingerless gloves with a mitten top. Anyways, those got "lost" before he ever wore them, so you can understand taht I really wanted to make him something nice. He wanted something to do with Irish....like shamrocks. I searched free and not for any shamrock squares. And theres tons of nice little motifs, but o squares, so....I made on up! I thought it was going to be a lot harder, but it was pretty easy, so here it is. For all you guys! I hope you like it!

SCARY GUYS LIKE TO DRESS UP TO!

So I was out in my backyard with the boys today (brrrr....it was cold!!) and, on my table I saw a little spider. But this spider was kind of unusual.
He was wearing a pumpkin costume!! I asked him why and he said "I don't know why everyone wants to dress up like us, we like to dress up too, so here we are in our Halloween costumes! We are really nice and not scary, see?"

So, I had to ask, "We?"

And I looked up to see his little bat friend.

He was also wearing a cute little pumpkin costume!

Well, they definitely made me think twice about those scary Halloween guys!!!!

Pattern will soon be available in my Etsy Store!!

MORE PATTERNS

I did it again.

Patterns for these hats are available at my Etsy shop!

This pumpkin hat fits bigger than the free one. Its also fuller and more realistic.

I am also having tested this right now. To be available soon. Hes my Roly Poly Reaper. I don't think hes too scary though, since my 2 yo keeps asking if he can kiss him!! He comes complete with a crocheted scythe.

And, most important, I got to test for PEGGYTOES!!! If you haven't seen her work, you NEED to, I absolutely love her stuff. She is so talented. This one is Ohree the Orangutan

She gives detailed instructions on how to make each monkey.

You can find her free patterns here

and her Etsy shop here. I have to say she is one of the best designers around.

ETSY

My babies had their first day of school yesterday. A full day too, when Quenton was little, he only went 1/2 days, every day, but the twins go full days, every other day. I guess its better this way. My house was too quiet and Ethan just didn't know what to do with himself. When the boys came home, they told me they had fun and had lots of stories to tell, but they don't want to go back! lol. Oh well, maybe it gets easier. As long as theres no fight, its fine.

As for crocheting, I made this beautiful little capelet. I found the pattern on Etsy and its well worth the $5.00. It was so easy and I had it made within a couple of hours.

Speaking of Etsy....I finally opened my own shop!! Yay!! I have posted my patterns for Natalie the Ballerina and my Rocketship Water Bottle Holder for sale there for anyone interested.
And if you're going to check out Etsy, check out my favourites there. Theres so many talented people on there and tons of beautiful patterns. I almost feel like mine don't even fit in!
Thats it for now, I'm not too great a blogger, but I've been busy! And I will get better, I promise. In the meantime, come visit my shop!

ITS BAAAAACK!!

OK, so I totally disappeared for a while there, but I have been soooo busy. The twins had their 4th bday and went for their kindergarten orientation today. My 11 yo started 6th grade today (OMG!!! Hes 11?!?! and in Gr. 6!!!!!) We've had lots of fun over the summer holidays, but I'm glad that we're back to school. Don't ask me that in a couple of weeks when the twins start full time. I know its every other day, but still! What do I do with only ONE baby at home?!? lol, I'm sure I'll figure something out.

I finished these cute little patterns up too.

This one is Natalie the Ballerina. She was made for my brothers gf Natalie. Nat has a tatt on her back of a ballerina and her bday was coming up, so I thought I'd try to make her a matching ballerina for her tatt. She absolutely LOVES dancing. Well, it was a HUGE hit. She loved it! Here's a pic of Natalie (the crocheted version)

I added wire to her limbs, so shes pose able too.

I also made this for my boys. You can never find stuff for little boys. Well, ya, you can, but not too much. They love these though. They love Buzz Lightyear and watch it all the time, so what better than Rocket Water Bottle Holders? They start school soon and can carry their drinks in here. I thought they would be great!

One more pic. the last time I posted (before the free pattern) I was working on crowns. I finished them a long time ago. Here they are. I love this pattern too. Its just too cute.

Well, thats it for now. My patterns for Natalie and the Water Bottle Holder are being tested as we speak, so I'll let you know when they are available!

WIP WEDNESDAY

Well, I've been a little neglectful here for the past 2 weeks, sorry. I haven't really been crocheting too too much either. I dunno why, I start a project but don't finish it lately. I'm gonna fix that soon. Very soon. But what I have got done are more cowboy sets. They are a HUGE hit! I made a Newborn Cowboy set,

a 2yo Cowgirl set,

and a 2yo Cowboy set.

I think these are so cute and the pattern works up so easily. (Its been posted here before....ummm....I forget when ;p)

I'm also working on these adorably little crowns.

This pattern is a lot easier than I thought it would be too. Although I haven't started the crown part really yet.

Well, I'm pretty boring lately. But we went to Marineland last week and I really wanted to take a pic of this bear swimming in the water right below us, as I'm waiting for my cam to load up I guess I got a little excited and pushed the button, then the bear swam away. I thought I lost the perfect pic, but look what I did accidentally! I wouldn't of gotten a better shot if I tried!! lol.

$170.00?!?!?!!

OK, so I finally sent my sewing machine in to get fixed. I told you how I jammed it while sewing the eyelash yarn legs to my jellyfish. Well, I got a call earlier this week that it will cost $170.00 to repair!!! OMG!! I was in shock. Unfortunately I had to tell him that I would just pick it up as that's just a little to steep a price right now. :( No sewing for me for a while. Unless its by hand of course and No Thanks You! lol. Well, I got some little projects done this week. Not much really. I made a tiny little lady bug purse for a baby (not for her to use, just for fun cuz it was cute!) It was a request actually, but it needed something with it, so I made this little outfit too. I think its cute all together.

Well, we all had a great Canada Day. The boys loved the fireworks and when they hear a bang on the street they all yell fireworks, except the baby, who calls them "rainbows" lol, hes so cute! Here's a pic I took that I thought looked so cool.

WIP WEDNESDAY

Well, I do have one WIP, but I'm not sharing. :( Boohoo, sorry, its a surprise! BUT... I made my first FBB!!! I am so happy with it!! I even lined it!! With the help of this wonderfully easy, great for a beginner sewer tutorial. Anyways, heres my bag.

AND..I also made my boys some jellyfish. I got one in a swap last month and they all wanted it! It was crocheted, so I looked for a pattern and although I did find some really cute ones, and more cute ones, I also found this one. As soon as the boys saw it, they yelled "Spongebob Jellyfish!" So I had to try. I screwed up a little, I bought felt before I read the instructions which called for fleece, which will curl on itself for the "legs", but oh well, I just crocheted the legs on. It was actually quite an easy project and I love how they turned out. BUT, I broke my sewing machine :( so no more sewing projects untill I get off my a*# and get it fixed. I think some of the eyelash yarn got stuck in the thingy that moves the needle up and down (ya, you can tell I'm an expert seamstress here, lol) and now it won't move AT ALL, or change the stitch selector thing. So I'll take it in. Well, heres my jellyfish. The boys love them.

There is actually 4, but one has mysteriously vanished. Well, thats it for this week. Whats on your hook?????

OCTOPUS APPLIQUE

Here's a pattern for the octopus I made on my Noah's Ark Blanket. It has not been tested, so if you find any errors, let me know!

Rnd 4: (Sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st) around. (24sc)

Rnd 5: (Sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st) around. (30 sc)

Rnd 6: Sc in next st, hdc in next st, dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next 7 sts. *Ch 10, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next ch, 3 sc in next ch, sc in next 2 chs, sc3tog, sc in next ch, continue on piece. I STARTED SEWING!!

And look what I made!

Here's a tissue holder (Thanks Connie!!)

And here's a couple of crayon rolls. These are actually the 3rd and 4th ones I've made. I love these! They are the perfect gift for younger kids and easy for a beginner like me. On the pattern, she put ric rac in hers and I thought it looked so cute, but I tried and mine was playing peek-a-boo, so I'm gonna wait to do it again. These ones are for Quentons teachers 2 sons.

And for crochet, my Mom wanted me to make a baby bracelet for her fellow teacher who s wife is having a baby over the summer so I did. But when it was done, I thought she should give it to him on something. I have made them before and attached them to cards, but I saw this and thought it was perfect, so here's my "Butler Baby" Its only in diapers be because my mom didn't know the sex of the baby, so he/she is neutral so far. I even put a little bum crack sticking out of his diaper and bellybutton, but did I take pics of that? Of course not! :( grrrr.

BABY STUFF

A friend of mine just had a baby boy last week, so I made her the Noah's Ark Afghan. I also made her daughter a couple of things so she wouldn't feel left out. But my absolute favourite thing to give to babies is this diaper wreath. They work up quick, they have everything you need on it and they are loved when they are received. I even have to tell the parents that they HAVE TO take them apart! Here's the one I made for Jake

I also like to personalize it with a baby bracelet.

I told you I love to do other crafts.! lol.

On another note. Its been raining almost every day for about 2 weeks straight here.

But after all that rain, comes these.

I VOW TO NEVER DO A GRAPHGAN AGAIN!

OK, maybe not, but not any time soon!! Its finished! Heres my NFLD Flag Lapghan.

Now my next problem, what to charge for it? I have no clue!! lol

I also have been totally neglecting taking pics of my swaps I've been getting. Not for any reason, just because they disappear after the package gets opened, lol. So I tracked my last few down and heres some pics.

I got these butterfly fridgies from Yolanda. She also sent alot of other things. All my boys even got a little thing! I couldn't get pics of those though.

Heres my swap from Connie. I have been wanting to make a cloth with the scrubbie in the middle, but I can't find the scrubbies, so now I have one!! I also love the little tissue holder. Its a great little sewing project that I'm soon going to try.

And lastly, I got these little toys from Billie. My boys love them. I've been searching for more jellyfish patterns, cuz they all really love that one. I couldn't get it out of Liams hans to take a pic, so you get him too!

I LOVE being in swaps! They are so much fun. I'm only sorry that I only just found out about them.
