Show and Tell

Hi everyone! I've gone AWOL again I know. But I've been doing lots! Just the other day, I finished this up for my twins JK teacher. Its the Sweetheart Ripple by Kim Guzman from Crochet World Feb 2009. It worked up so quickly for me, I was done in 2 weeks. This is good cuz I'm such a procrastinator!!! Their last day is Wednesday and i still have to make a little purse for the teachers aide!!! (Gonna do the FBB today) Anyways, heres pics of my Sweetheart Ripple.

What else have I done?? OH! The twins had their first bday party to go to and I made the little girl this halter. I love this pattern!! And its available in tons of sizes!! You can find it here.

I also have 2 more patterns coming soon to my shop. Heres Patrick. (Sorry for the bad pic)

And hes got a bellybutton!!!!!

And lastly Spongebob!!!!

Also, I was in a summer scarf swap and it was so much fun!! I got lots of goodies!! Heres what I got from Sarah.

She has an awesome blog here.

Right now, I'm trying to get the FBB done for Wed, and fix up my Gary pattern by adding Lary and Snellie to it. Pics will come soon, they're almost done.

Long Time No See!

Wow!! I haven't been on here forever! I made DHs blanket finally! I changed the square a bit, if you remember, I made a square up just for him and posted the pattern on here, Irish Pride Square. Well, to that, I added another few rows to make a 10" square instead of 8", just so I didn't have to make so many squares, I really don't like that part too much. Then when it was all put together, I added the border the same as each square, I think it turned out pretty nice.

Other stuff I've made. I made up a Robotnik!

to go with Sonic.

When I asked the twins waht they wanted, one said Sonic and the other said Robotnik, so here they are. Then I made a Gary,

or Bary as my youngest would call him, lol. And I JUST finished up a Squidward!
I LOVE this one! Patterns for Sonic and Gary are available at my Etsy shop, and patterns for Robotnik and Squidward will be available soon.

And lastly, it was my babies third bday on the third of April. He loves Spongebob, is literally obsessed with him, and also pirates, so his Nana bought him a pirate hook for his bday. Well, with the 3 of them fighting over who gets to play with it, it broke, so guess what I did?!?! I made him another one!! I was about to make one for the other 2, but I guess the novelty wore off, cuz they don't want it, but Ethan sure likes it!
Especially in his pirate jammies!

Pattern for this will be available soon for free right here! Gimme about a week and I'll post it.

SCARY GUYS LIKE TO DRESS UP TO!

So I was out in my backyard with the boys today (brrrr....it was cold!!) and, on my table I saw a little spider. But this spider was kind of unusual.
He was wearing a pumpkin costume!! I asked him why and he said "I don't know why everyone wants to dress up like us, we like to dress up too, so here we are in our Halloween costumes! We are really nice and not scary, see?"

So, I had to ask, "We?"

And I looked up to see his little bat friend.

He was also wearing a cute little pumpkin costume!

Well, they definitely made me think twice about those scary Halloween guys!!!!

Pattern will soon be available in my Etsy Store!!

Tomblidoos!!

I made a tomblidoo. They are these little creatures from "In the Night Garden". A preschool show My first attempt was quite scary looking.

I told Quenton that I was going to frog it and he said "No, I want it" lol, so he now has it.

Here it is on his bed. See, its scary looking. I didn't even add arms or all of the hair because it wasn't turning out.

So, I tried again. This time I made it from the legs up. It was much easier for some reason. It seemed backwards but it definetly worked out. Here it is.

It was made for my friends daughter and the best compliment I received on it was when she opened it, said "tombidoo" and later that night brought it to bed with her. I also made her a little shirt, a heart purse and a cute little summer hat. She got more goodies too, but those are all the crocheted stuff.

The top is from Lionbrand. I used Red Heart Soft instead of the cotton they called for and it came out ALOT smaller, but it still fit
The purse is from the Crochetguy. I added a fun fur border to it cuz I thought it was cute.
And the hat was from Luv 2 Crochet. She has beautiful things on her site for little girls

This little hat has gotten into my list of things to make (Whats the short form for that by the way?? Its not WIP....what is it?) It is just waaayyyyy too cute for words. Check it out here

I'm finished both of my exchanges. Yay! I'll be mailing them out tomorrow and will post pics as son as I know they got them.

But I do have a couple really cool pics to share. A lady from the At My House yahoo group that I'm on has made my Hearts go Round hat. She made it adult size. I love it!!

Also, 2 people have made my pretty Butterfly. One I found on ravelry by thelassi4. Heres that one.
And the other one was by Aurora. You can see it on her blog here.
Sorry it took me so long to post these, but I just had to share them. They are all beautiful and I love that people are liking my patterns!!!

Pretty Butterfly

OK, I really have been working on this baby blanket, especially now tha my Mom told me that the baby blanket she needs is for March, not May! Well, heres my progress.

I just have a few more rows to sew on, then the border. It should only take me a few more hours. I really love this pattern. Its from an old Crochet With Heart Magazine. I really miss this mag. I have no idea why they ever stopped making it. I used to make at least 2 of every pattern in each mag. I didn't buy another mag until recently with the Crochet and Crochet Today, which are now my new faves! I need a subscription.

Anyways, I needed a little break from this blanket and I have always wanted to try amigurumi, cuz they look so cute and quick and easy to do. So, I searched. I found lots of really nice patterns, but I really wanted a butterfly and I couldn't find one free. I can't buy them on line cuz I don't have a credit card, they are dangerous in my hands! Anyhow, I wanted a butterfly, so I thought I could try to make one. I came up with this one. I think shes pretty cute. I am proud of her since shes my first toy without a pattern. And my first time trying the magic ring. I think I will use this method ALL THE TIME! ITs great and easy!.

Well, heeres my butterfly. OH! And before I forget, I saw that my poll is now closed and you guys like the braided trim the best. I thank you all for your responses adn your comments on my hat. And I hope that you all enjoy making them. And, by the way, I would love to see finished pics and you all have my permission to do with the finished product what you please. Just not the pattern, that ones mine! lol
