Love this camo!

Its my friend Kellys birthday and she loves pink, so I wanted to make her something in pink, but didn't have enough time for an afghan, so, first I searched for a pattern. I found 2 I really liked and thought she would too.

The City Girl Cap

and Chic on the Halfshell

Next, I needed the perfect pink. I wanted a hot pink colour, but I couldn't find anything but baby pink or a darker pink. Then I found the pink camo by Bernat. I love it! I love how it looks, its so soft, and very easy to wok with and I'm not even a fan of pink!! Anyways, both patterns were so easy to work up. And I love the results. I hope she likes them too. The hat took me a couple of days to make, and the purse took me only a couple of hours. The hat took longer only because I got no breaks in the past few days.

Well, heres the pics.

OK, here it is!!! Sorry it took so long. I hope everything is clear. Enjoy!! Again, do what you want with the finished product. Do NOT sell the pattern. And please send pics!!! :)

And I used the magic ring in this pattern. I LOVE the magic ring. This was my first time using it and it was very easy to figure out. I got a tutorial from here, if you need one:

Tomorrow, I promise!!!

OK, I suck. I was up till 4am last night with a severe toothache. Have a dentist appt on Thurs. It feels great right now though, so I will get it written up tonight. I know I could've done it while I was up all night, but its so hard to concentrate on anything with a toothache. And it was so hard all day with the 3 toddlers and no sleep, but they were good. I would rather go through labour with all my kids again than go thru another! But, I guess that doesn't really mean much from me since I always had pretty quick and easy births, but anyways......I will get it written up and will post it tomorrow. So sorry!!

And I fixed my pic of my Tumbling Baby Blocks Blanket. It looks more like the blocks are falling when its the right way. Heres my new pic of it.

Tumbling Baby Blocks Done

Well, I finally got my baby blocks afghan done and its gone already!! lol. But, I really appreciate all your positive feedback on my butterfly and since so many of you like her and I have had a few requests for the pattern, I will write it up tonight and post it sometime tomorrow. Now, I have to get another baby blanket done, a hat, a purse, a chapstick holder, water bottle holder, and all my UFO's. And those are all just requests from this week!! AAAAHHHHH!!!!! Oh well, most of them are just quick little projects, easy enough. Well, I better get working, since all the boys are in bed. Heres a pic of my baby blanket done.

Ooooppps, its sideways!, but you get the idea!

Pretty Butterfly

OK, I really have been working on this baby blanket, especially now tha my Mom told me that the baby blanket she needs is for March, not May! Well, heres my progress.

I just have a few more rows to sew on, then the border. It should only take me a few more hours. I really love this pattern. Its from an old Crochet With Heart Magazine. I really miss this mag. I have no idea why they ever stopped making it. I used to make at least 2 of every pattern in each mag. I didn't buy another mag until recently with the Crochet and Crochet Today, which are now my new faves! I need a subscription.

Anyways, I needed a little break from this blanket and I have always wanted to try amigurumi, cuz they look so cute and quick and easy to do. So, I searched. I found lots of really nice patterns, but I really wanted a butterfly and I couldn't find one free. I can't buy them on line cuz I don't have a credit card, they are dangerous in my hands! Anyhow, I wanted a butterfly, so I thought I could try to make one. I came up with this one. I think shes pretty cute. I am proud of her since shes my first toy without a pattern. And my first time trying the magic ring. I think I will use this method ALL THE TIME! ITs great and easy!.

Well, heeres my butterfly. OH! And before I forget, I saw that my poll is now closed and you guys like the braided trim the best. I thank you all for your responses adn your comments on my hat. And I hope that you all enjoy making them. And, by the way, I would love to see finished pics and you all have my permission to do with the finished product what you please. Just not the pattern, that ones mine! lol

Wanting More...

OK, so I really need to get this baby blanket done and I really do want to, but I just can't seem to keep my concentration on it. My mind keeps wandering to what I can make next and I really have to have this done in about 2 weeks. Its already project # 5...maybe 6...how many more do I need at a time? Never too many I guess, lol. I am getting it done though, but I can only get a few rows in at a time. Anyways, on another note, I do have some ideas that I can maybe make up that I think would be just too cute. I need to make somethig for a 10 yo girl, but can't really find anyhting I like out there, so I'm gonna see what I can come up with. I think I'll go draw out some things and get back to a few more rows of that blanket!

Bye for now!

Pattern Written up

OK, I got it all typed up. I really hope its easy to understand. If there are any questions, I will do my best to help. This one was alot harder to write up than the coaster one!! And I was watching the polls, but not too many votes for there to be a clear winner, so I put up both edgings.

Enjoy!!!!

First, I did a simple rev sc border in the darker pink

A closer look

Then I did the same thing, but in the lighter pink

Closer

And finally, I did a braided trim of both colours

Closer

I'm going to open a poll and I would really appreciate your guys help on which one I should do. TIA!!!

Now I'm going to get typing the directions up for you guys!

Valentine Hat....or not

OK, so I really wanted to get this hat done with a pattern for Valentines Day, but....its not quite done, maybe by tonight?? Heres what I have so far:

The top of the hat is done and most of the hearts to go around, but how am I going to attach these? I'm gonna have to play around a bit. The heart motifs were pretty simple.

I made 5 of each colour, but I think I need 1 more each. I'm pretty sure it'll be done tonight and posted ASAP. So those of you who won't give Valentines till the weekend, it'll be perfect, but then again....the heart motif would be cute any time of the year! Especially for a toddler girl, or baby girl, so it'll be fine all year long. After this is done, I really need to get back to working on my neutral baby blanket that needs to be done in 2 weeks for a friend. Its about 1/3 done. Then I have to get a Easter gift for a 10 yo girl...hmmm.. any suggestions? THEN I have to get invitations done for both my oldest (10) who wants a Simpson party and 2 weeks later, my youngest(1) for either dinosaurs, cuz he loves to roar; monkeys, cuz hes my little monkey; or Mickey Mouse, cuz he loves him(even though I don't). I wonder if I could do a poll for that one?

Anyways, back to work!!!

Hi!! and my Glass Slippers

Hi everyone. This is my first post. I have never done a blog before, but seen them and thought they were neat, but I never really had anything to post about. I'm on ravelry, so all my projects are there, so a blog seemed like too much work to just keep track of my projects, BUT yesterday I had some inspiration. I was going through all my emails from yahoo crochet groups that I belong to and read a question about a coaster pattern for a wine glass. So I thought, why can't I do this?? It seems easy enough. I have designed a pumpkin hat before, but thats it. And although I thought it was adorable, I still didn't think I could design anything else. But I gave it a try and it was quick and easy and pretty nice I think. So....heres my first design entry for my blog!
