Sticking To It

Well, I'm really doing it!!! I got one wip done AND I managed to do a few more projects as well. Heres a pic of my Starry, starry Nights Afghan that I finally completed.

And I made matching pillows that were from the Mar/Apr 2008 Crochet Today mag. They're so cute. I love them and I think I'm gonna have to make more cuz my boys love them too!
I made a star

And a moon

And finally I tried to get some little bunny pins made for Quentons class, but as always, I waited too late to start them and didn't get them done in time. Now I have 30 little bunny pins sitting here, lol. I'm sure they'll find a home somewhere!!
I got the pattern from Maggies Crochet.

Heres all 30 of them

I was supposed to use pompoms for the nose, but I didn't have any and going out shopping for pompoms could be alot of trouble for me, I'm sure some of you can relate!!! lol. So, I had heart shaped confetti, I turned them upside down and voila, cute little bunny noses. I also tried 2 different sizes of google eyes. Heres the big ones

And the smaller ones. I like them better.

All in all, I think I've been pretty productive. One down...countless others to go!! lol

Happy St. Patricks Day!

I know its tomorrow, but I'm a little early! I just wanted to put up the pics of the projects I finished for my MIL. She is the only person I know that decorates for St. Pattys and when I saw these patterns I just had to make them for her. The first one was an AA FPOD and I thought it was so cute.

Then I had to make the kids some little shamrock pins to wear to school (hers, mine are too little for pins)

These are from http://suzies-yarnie-stuff.blogspot.com/2006/03/my-shamrock-pin-pattern.html

And lastly I made my MIL this little pin. (Quenton also wanted one after he saw it so I made him one too) These pins are from Peggytoes on Crochetville. If you haven't seen her work, you NEED to go see it. She does amazing things. And they are all so small. I LOVE her patterns. She has a bunch for free, and on her page there is a shortcut to her Etsy page where she has more! Her link is here

http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=69985

And here is a pic of the pin next to the D hook that I used so you can see how small they are. I've seen people use these as keychains, pins, on barettes.....just look through crochetville and you'll see them all.I always Crochet small, so I used a D hook, even though the pattern called for a C. Then my hand cramped with that anyways! So Quentons I used an E hook, and it came out just a little bigger, but still good. And I buy bags of milk here, have never even seen a milkcap before, but I just used a cardboard cutout and it worked great.

Mmmmmmm.....

I think Easter may just be my favourite holiday. Not because of any of the reasons you may think. So why, you ask? Well, it would have to be those yummy, chocolatey, creamy Cadbury Cream Eggs. I may be 30, but my sweet tooth is still 10, just ask my dentist! lol. My Dad still has a Cream Egg for me every time I see him. But, I shouldn't be eating as many as I may, so i thought I would make myself a treat.

This is my version of the SAFE Cadbury Cream Egg. It has 0 calories, 0 fat, and you can have as many as you want, but please, don't eat them, hehe. This Cream Egg comes complete with a recipe. Enjoy!!

Too much winter and more stuff done

OK, I have had a busy week. Quentons 11th bday is tomorrow! I can't believe hes going to be 11!! Well, we went to Lasermania on Sunday for his party. The baby has had 3 Drs appts. And I'm not even going to mention the horrible snow we've had! (50 more cm!!!! I can't wait for Spring) But I did manage to get some stuff done.

Heres a pic of my front yard. I told you it was awful!

I finished a little ladybug purse and I love it. I wanna make a matching hat too but I'm not sure if I should make it whole or lacy since spring is hopefully coming. Anyways, heres my pic of that.

Then I made this little purse from the Lionbrand website.

I also finished this poncho for the 10yo girl. I wasn't sure about the camo one that I previously did, so now she can have a choice. This one is from the Garnstudio website. They have beautiful things there. Sometimes just looking at finished knitted things, I wish I could knit, but for some reason I just can't grasp it.

And, lastly I started to make this Easter basket. I planned to make 4 of them, but realized there was no way it was going to happen, so I've put this aside til later. Its supposed to be Mickey Mouse. Then I was going to make a Spongebob, Spiderman and Homer or Stewie. Anyways, I can't finishe them in time, so Oh well.

And speaking of putting things aside. I went through my stash only to realize I have a lot more WIPs then I remembered. I have a problem of seeing something I like and starting it right away, whether or not I already have a current project going on. I have adjusted my WIPs on the side bar and have promised myself to not let it get any bigger. I have to start finishing some of these things, But then I saw the AA FPOD the other day when it was the Irish greeting thingy and it was so cute. My MIL is Irish and I thought I would make her one, so tahts been started. I also have an idea for a cute little thing for Easter and will 100% have that done this week, with pattern posted. Well, gotta go.......

Skirt and Vest finished

OK, I got this done for Abby and I do love it, but I have a gap between the waistband and skirt from my foundation ch. Now I don't know what to do! I think if I add anything to it, it would be too much. But then again, I don't like the gap!

So I thought I could weave a ribbon through it, which I will have to buy and try tomorrow, or I could make a chain the same colour as the leash and weave that through.

But, like I said before, I don't know if its too much. Heres a pic of the outfit with nothing extra.

Well, I'm giving it to her in another week, so maybe you guys can help me out. Leave some comments. I'm gonna go finish that ladybug purse that I started. The boys are all in bed, so I got a few hours to myself. I give myself a bedtime of 11 - 1. Dh always asks me why I don't go to bed when the babies do. Is he crazy?!? Then I NEVER have a minute to myself. This is MY time...baby free, and I like it! Not saying that I don't like my time with the boys, but I can definitely tell you that I can't wait till warmer weather when we can go out ll day, every day. I'm not a cold weather person, they do go out, but not for long spurts. Next year will bea easier when the baby will be almost 3. Then we can go tobagganning, maybe skating......all that fun stuff. They're all just too little now. Anyways, back to my time! BYE.

Projects done

OMG!! We got hit again!! We got at least another 5" of snow yesterday. Schools weren't cancelled here, but they were 20 minutes away. Didn't make much sense to me, so since it was still pretty bad when Quenton went to school, I let him stay home. It just doesn't make sense...2 days ago it was 14 degrees out!! And now 5 more inches of snow!?! It looks pretty cold out today too. I don't knoow and I'm scared to find out!

So, in the past 4 days, I got one poncho for the 10yo girl done. I think I might do another cuz I think this one looks kinda small. On the pattern, it looked like it drapes, but mine looks tight. Oh well, its still nice. I also finished a bunny purse for Abby. Its cute. And I started to design my own ladybug purse. I also started to make a skirt and vest from a Hooked on Crochet mag. Well, I've been busy I guess. Heres some pics.

Bunny Purse from http://stormyzpatterns.blogspot.com/2007/01/childs-bunny-purse.html

Pink Camo Poncho from http://www.luv2crochet.com/lacyshellponcho.pdf

See what I mean, this poncho looks tight and the pattern drapes. Oh well, I must of done something wrong, but I still like it.

Just another Day

Hey, todays been a pretty blah day. Although its been absolutely beautiful outside!! A high of 14 today!!! Finally looks like spring is coming. Even though the weather says it will be back to -6 tomorrow with some flurries, but they lie! Well, I got a little poncho done for the 10 yo girl that I was talking about. I don't know if she'll like it, so I'll make 2 and give her an option. I still gotta make a little Easter outfit for 4yo Abby. And I would like to make cute Easter baskets for all my boys. I think I can do it all by Easter....hmmmm. I dunno, we'll see, but I'll try. I think I am a pretty quick crocheter, so who knows. After all that I still have to make a couple of baby blankets and I just have lots of ideas running through my head.I just can't seem to stop. Thank goodness its National Crochet Month, thats my excuse for doing it so much!! haha. I haven't taken any pics, but I will tonight and post them tomorrow. Bye for now!
